Hidden Gluten

October 24, 2007,

This past weekend, while out for dinner, I mistakenly ate something containing gluten. I hate when this happens, which isn't very often. When it does though, I pay the price for days. My stomach has been so sore.

You know what made me feel better (at least momentarily) today? My PatsyPie Ginger Cookies, warm from the oven with a cup of tea. My bakers insisted I sit down and eat a few as ginger settles stomachs. It may not have been a cure-all but those ginger cookies were so soothing and delicious.

I get letters!

October 16, 2007

Today I received the nicest email from the President of the Canadian Celiac Association Chapter in Edmonton. She wrote: "I received one full box [case] of goodies that I will take to the hospital where I am doing awareness of celiac disease. I am sure that people who have never tried your products will buy them instantly, because they are DELICIOUS! As we describe your products...heavenly food!"

What a nice email! I love hearing from customers. Like me, they are mostly celiacs. I remember the years when it was so difficult to find anything decent to eat. Times sure have changed and I know my PatsyPie goodies are part of the change!

Meanwhile, at the bakery today: The www.patsypie.com team discussed another new muffin. A variation on our new Morning Glory with Flax Mini Muffin. Everyone had interesting ideas and ingredients we plan to try out. We'll get to the experimentin in the next day or so. Rest assured, our taste-testers are standing by to deliver their verdicts. Taste-testers? Our families, of course!

See you at www.patsypie.com! Or drop a line to plibling@patsypie.com.

Happy Eating!
